Target Achievement Summary and Highlights

The execution highlights of phase one.

A. Implementation teaching innovation and enhancement of teaching quality 

1. To strengthen the certificates consulting system to build the practical basis: help to open the “certificates coaching classes”. The overall rate of students acquiring certificates has raised from 49.99% in the academic year 106 to 54.06% in the academic year 108. Further, we coached three different vocational certificates of iPAS.

2. Popularize and promote students’ ability in programming design: By establishing the school-level computer programming classrooms, the number of students who studied logic thinking and programming has increased from over 1000 in the academic year of 106 to over 3000 in the academic year of 109.

3. The diversion and profession of foreign language learning: by setting up various languages learning classroom, diversifying the students to different levels of language learning, and offering advanced practical languages courses, the number of students who got language certificates has increased from 1,268 in the academic year 105 to 1,381 in the academic year 108. The students who went overseas to study have also increased from 11 students in the academic year 105 to 22 students in the academic year 108.

B. Develop the school feature. 

1. Enhance students’ international mobility: the number of overseas internship has increased from 105 students in academic year 105 to 207 students in the academic year 108. The overseas employment number totaled to 34 people from the academic year 105 to the academic year 108.

2. Promote the Industry 4.0 and AI technology education: By collaborating with the internationally renowned company SIEMENS AG, the school established “Technology Collaboration Center.” The students can not only learn the automation courses from the company, but also possess the collaboration certificate of SIEMENS AG digital industry education. After graduating, the students are equipped with the power they need and apply their practicum in the business.

3. Promote the “Japanese Cuisine Certificate Courses”: collaborating with the culinary experts from Taiwan as well as Japan, we set up the only certified courses by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF). After the students pass the qualification test, they would be granted the Bronze certificate. If they go on to finish their internship one year in Japan, they’ll be granted the Silver certificate. The certificate could be applied to all the Japanese restaurants in the world. If the students have this certificate, it would surely increase their international employment abilities.

4. Interdisciplinary Practicum Inventions were recognized internationally. Students from the Computer and Communication Technology and the degree Program of Hotel Management worked hand in hand to develop the intelligent fast changing password door lock. This invention was primarily used int eh hotel industry. The cellphone serves as the key to the hotel room. You don’t to return a door card after you check out. The receptionist can just adjust in the computer during the period of staying, further increase the convenience of hotel management. This invention won the first prize of 2020 Seoul International Invention Fair.

C: to enhance the publicity of higher education.

Before the date of the first semester of 2010, the researcher whose projects are over six months should reach 92.66% and the completion rate should reach 100 % by the second semester of the school year 2010.

D: to serve the social responsibilities.

From the year 2017 to 2019, we have accumulated over 4,959 students serving all kinds of social services in the neighboring organizations, such as the Taipei Municipal Guandu Hospital-Managed by Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taipei Rapid Transit System(TRTS) and so on.
